Abstract:		 In a `Chairman's introduction', Timothy Darvill (2--3) provides an overview of the Trust's work during the year. There follows a selective review of fieldwork undertaken comprises short reports on various projects undertaken in Gloucestershire and including sites in Somerset (Somerton) and Oxfordshire (Harwell and Blewbury, near Didcot). `Finds, archives and environmental archaeology' are discussed by Emma Harrison (9--11) and there is also a report on work in publication and education. More detailed reports cover excavations at: `Brockworth, Gloucestershire' by Clifford Bateman & Mark Leah (13--14) -- a Roman occupation site and cremation burials provisionally dated to the bronze Age; `Turkdean, Gloucestershire' by Dawn Enright & Neil Holbrook (15--16) -- a return visit by TV's Time Team to the Roman villa site they first examined in 1997; and `Wantage, Oxfordshire' by Alistair Barber & Graeme Walker (17--18) -- an unexpected sequence of Roman buildings. Details are also given of the Trust's publications, archive reports and personnel.
