Abstract
A likely case of scurvy from Early Bronze Age Britain
Simon Mays
178 - 187
A probable case of scurvy is identified in a child skeleton from England, dating to 2200--1970 BC. Lesions were mainly restricted to the ectocranium, but some endocranial lesions were also seen. This appears to be the earliest reported example of scurvy from Britain, and adds to the very few palaeopathological case descriptions available for the disease in infants and young children from Europe.
