Abstract:
Reports on excavation of three (or possibly four) cists and a rectangular structure with upright stone settings, which were exposed by erosion of a cliff. A cairn was identified over two cists; a pictish, rather than Bronze Age date is suggested for one of the cists, which contained an extended inhumation. The rectangular structure may have been a kelp-burning pit, although these are usually circular.
