Abstract: |
Describes the excavation and recording of the upstanding remains of the stone-built farmstead. Although the building appears to be of eighteenth- or early nineteenth-century date, documentary evidence suggests that the site dates back to the medieval period. The bulk of the finds were pottery, and clay tobacco pipes. One appendix details `Documentary evidence concerning Gask' by E P D Torrie (18-20), while a second lists the content of the archive (21-4). |
