The future strategy for archaeological work is also discussed with action required at particular sites presented in tabular form. Tony Pollard</ze> \\bold{} (46--56) reports on a previously unrecorded lithic scatter in `Appendix 1 -- Kirkhill assessment'. Jane Downes</ze> \\bold{} (57--8) provides a summary structural report in `Appendix 2: burnt mound, Muirhead, Lockerbie'. These are followed by `Appendix 3: list of finds recovered from fieldwalking' (58) and `Appendix Four: the stripped area survey' (6 separately bound, unnumbered pages).
