The discovery of kiln waste in Overmonnow prompted the rescue excavation of a clamp kiln site. The kiln itself, its products and medieval potteries in Wales and on the Anglo-Welsh border are described and discussed.

Geophysical research, as part of an ongoing management strategy, showed the existence of several large buildings on the Llanerchaeron estate near Aberaeron, Ceredigion. Subsequent excavation revealed a smithy and traces of a field system. An assemblage of flints also attest to prehistoric activity here.

The results of palaeoenvironmental investigations of flood plain deposits at Machynys, Llanelli Marsh, are presented. Radiocarbon dating, palynology, diatom and sedimentological analyses and micropalaeontological analysis of the sequences has shown that deposits of marine and/or estuarine origin underlie the peat deposits that are the focus of this study, and which are radiocarbon dated to c. 4280--3885 cal BP at --1.28 to --1.33m OD and 3220--2795 cal BP at --0.583 to --0.633m OD respectively. The upper alluvial sequences reflect transgressive sea-level tendencies occurring c. 3220--2795 cal BP when estuarine conditions were re-established.

Record of the results of the latest season of excavations and discussion of the Neolithic mortuary ritual phase at Trostrey in terms of the excarnation, cremation, and burial of the remains of perhaps fifteen individuals. Includes a proposed reconstruction of the site.
