Abstract
An early use of glued laminated timber in buildings in Britain: Rushholm Rusholm Road Congregational Sunday School, Manchester; 1864--1963
121 - 124
Discusses the roof structure and its dating, based on a paper by L G Booth that appeared in the Journal of the Institute of Wood Science, 13(3), 1994. Though built as early as 1827, as has been suggested, the roof is still considered to be the earliest English example of the use of glued laminated trusses.
