Paul Courtney
18
Brief account of excavations undertaken in Summer 2004 inside the remains of Tanzyfort House, the first house occupied by the Coopers of Coopershill Demesne, Riverstown, County Sligo. Areas excavated included what were believed to be the main hall and kitchen, and the cellar. Artefacts recovered were mostly of eighteenth-century date, with a few nineteenth-century intrustions, and included a range of pottery, glass, and nails.
