Abstract

Provides an overview of timber construction, from towers to porches, across the county during this period.
`Orchard Dene' -- a Tudor period dwelling in Sedgeberrow
Bruce Watson
5 - 6
Describes a T-shaped structure. The east wing is thought to be the earliest (dating to the sixteenth century) and has a stone built ground storey with timber framed storeys above. The west wing is timber framed and is thought to date to the late sixteenth or seventeenth centuries. There is an attempt to interpret its original structure, despite later restoration work.
