The bowls are identified by their marks as having been made by two late-sixteenth-century London pewterers. A pewter bowl and plate from the wreck of La Trinidad Valencera of the Spanish Armada (sank in Kinnagoe Bay, North Donegal in 1588) are also discussed and identified as having been made by the English pewterer Nicholas Collier.
