The magazine of the Friends of the Colchester Archaeological Trust provides short reports on recent work: two small 17th century shops in Angel Court (under which were Roman remains including a coin hoard and other coins in quantity); the leper hospital of St Mary Magdalen; RB to Civil War levels in Osborne Street near the town's SE gate; recent discoveries at Cressing Temple and from the air; a l9th century brick kiln at Stones Green; and the RB cemeteries at Butt Road where the RB Christian church is now on display (see also 90/1438-9). |
