Mesolithic Miscellany 22 (1)

Reports two skulls dated to the later 9th millennium BC and which are interpreted as providing evidence of an early Mesolithic cemetery. The location and association with a significant early Mesolithic flint assemblage is argued to provide evidence for a type of burial site currently unique in the British Mesolithic. The skulls were discovered during quarrying in the 1930s. Au/PP-B
