Abstract
An excavation near the Dominican Friary at Dunstable
Ian M Stead
1 - 4
Written in the early 1980s, this is a report on excavations carried out in the early 1970s. A series of linear features and unusual cruciform pits were found that may be related to some form of medieval garden. It is thought unlikely that a garden would have belonged to the friars, who were mendicants. See also 97/72, 97/788, 97/805.

Maiden Bower, Bedfordshire: interim report on survey work, October 1991
Michael A Hamilton
C J Pollard
24 - 31
Reports on a geophysical survey (magnetic & resistivity) and fieldwalking on the interior of the IA hillfort and postulated Neo causewayed enclosure. Geophysics indicated an infilled inner ditch along with possible buildings and other features within the enclosure. Surface finds included Neo/BA flint and IA--RB pottery, indicating occupation in those periods.
Leighton Buzzard southern bypass

A watching brief produced clear evidence of occupation during the late Iron Age, with possible BA, EIA, MIA, RB, and AS occupation. Some Meso flints were also found. Medieval material is not reported here. Some features were observed during contractor's groundworks.
