Abstract: |
Assessment of this Roman, late Saxon and Medieval urban site showed iron smithing debris to predominate, although some slag from the smelting of iron was also identified. Limited lead or lead alloy casting and working was attested. Further examination of the entire iron and lead assemblage is recommended. Copper alloy working evidence was not assessed in this report. |
