Abstract: |
Ninth- to twelfth-century features on this site include a hearth in a sunken-featured building and several unknown `industrial' hearths. Visual examination of 43kg of slags and magnetic susceptibility determination of soil samples showed the sunken hearth and one other feature to be associated with the iron smithing. |
