Abstract: |
Around eighty crucible and mould sherds were examined. Several crucible fragments were identified as being of a Late Iron Age form. A piece mould technology was used at the site. Some of the moulds may have been used to make terret rings and other artefact forms. Qualitative X-ray fluorescence analysis of the moulds and crucibles suggests that copper alloys, containing zinc, tin and lead were in use at the site. Au |
