Abstract: |
Roman smelting and smithing slags were recovered from the site and from fieldwalking. The distribution of the smelting slag clearly demonstrated that the focus of activity was to the west of the area excavated. There was only a background level of smithing debris recovered, but the presence of a smelting operation would require primary smithing to be carried out. Au |
