Abstract:
Identification was made of a group of amphorae sherds which included examples from Italy, Spain, France, and possibly Palestine. Of particular interest amongst the Italian material were sherds from the late Republican amphora Dressel 1, suggesting that this area of the Solent was involved in maritime trade during the LIA.
