Abstract: |
A preface indicates the unsatisfactory state of Treasure Trove law. Eighteen hoards are then catalogued, the three largest being Normanby (Lincs) with 47 000 radiates to AD 289, Stevenage (Herts) with 387 denarii and 2192 radiates to AD 263, and Upton House (Dors) with 1685 nummi etc to AD 318. The coins in the other fifteen hoards run up to AD 402. |
