Abstract: |
A moated site was fairly extensively excavated. No pre-Conquest structures were found, but there was residual pottery of 9th-11th century. A possible aisled building was replaced by another timber structure, then by metalled tracks in a succession, taking different directions. The moat was dug after 1400 but seemingly enclosed no structure. Full pottery report and discussion of trading patterns. |
