Abstract:		 Archaeological monitoring carried out during repairs to a car park did not identify archaeological finds or deposits despite its location within a known area of Early Roman activity. Only very small parts of the development were excavated deep enough to penetrate modern surfaces and deposits, and where subsoil was seen it appeared to have been truncated, suggesting that the likelihood of archaeological deposits surviving in this immediate area is low.
