Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was carried out by BUFAU in advance of a proposed redevelopment of the Typhoo Wharf, Bordesley Street, Digbeth, Birmingham. The land was agricultural until the construction of the Digbeth Branch Canal in 1790. By the mid 19th century the site had acquired a disparate collection of domestic and industrial buildings. The Typhoo company relocated to here in 1924 and built a new bonded warehouse. |
