Abstract: |
November 2006. Oxford Archaeology carried out an archaeological excavation on the culvert leading to the cold bath at Heythrop Park, Oxfordshire. The excavation revealed that the portion of the culvert running under the track had been replace by modern salt glazed pipes, the west end of the culvert was intact, that the eastern end of the culvert was much further up stream than anticipated and that it had been subject to partial collapse and heavy silting. |
