Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out at Peel Farm, near Lintrathen, Angus in advance of the construction of a proposed new primary school. The site of the proposed primary school lies within the remains of an enclosure bank that once formed part of the perimeter of a medieval deer-park created by Alan Durward during the 13th century. The line of the embankment is believed to have cut across the south east corner of the proposed development area. There were no features, deposits or artefacts of archaeological significance identified. |
