Abstract: |
The excavation of a swimming pool in a single story annex to Shakers Hall, Boxford was the subject of an archaeological monitoring. The work was carried out to a Brief and Specification issued by Jess Tipper (Suffolk County Council Archaeological Service, Conservation Team) to fulfil a planning condition on application B/07/00748. The site is located on a promontory of land and interest was generated through metal detected finds from the area dating to the Roman and medieval periods. No archaeological features were observed or finds recovered during the construction of a swimming pool annex at Shakers Hall, Boxford. |
