Abstract: |
DBA for 6km of undergrounding of high voltage cable, Ipswich and Nacton. The potential for preserved archaeological deposits to be encountered along the length of the cable trench is moderate to high. Visible on aerial photographs along the route of the cable trench are a series of undated linear features, probably field boundaries and trackways that predate the earliest available cartographic records. There is a moderate to high potential for dispersed prehistoric features to be encountered especially of Bronze Age date as the cable trench passes very close to the remains of two possible burial mounds of Bronze Age date. |
