Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out associated with the construction of a single dwelling on land to the rear of Cormelles, Victoria Street, Combe Martin, Devon. It is located within the historic core of Combe Martin, with a settlement established here during the medieval period. Monitoring of the topsoil strip and the excavation of footing trenches was undertaken. No archaeological features or deposits were uncovered. Some post-medieval pottery sherds, CBM and clay tabacoo pipe were recovered from the topsoil. |
