Abstract: |
The project aim was to achieve an appropriate mitigative record of any archaeological remains present on site, where these were deemed to be at risk from development. Reasonable inferences have been made from this record to achieve a fuller understanding of the archaeological importance of the site. The project has sought to determine the location, extent, date, character, condition, significance and quality of any surviving archaeological finds, features or deposits, specifically, any evidence of human burial activity, although it was presumed that the likelihood of encountering such remains was relatively low, as there is no indication that the graveyard attached to the church extended into the study area. |
