Abstract: |
An archaeological excavation was conducted by John Moore Heritage Services on part of the site of the former agricultural laboratories at Letcombe Regis. During the course of excavation, a complex system of Roman ditches dating from the 2nd to 4th centuries was investigated. Limited prehistoric activity from the Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Ages seen mostly as residual artefacts. Sparse features indicated activity at later periods, including; Anglo-Saxon, 12th-13th century, and post-medieval. |
