Abstract: |
A watching brief was conducted by John Moore Heritage Services during the excavation of footings for a replacement extension to the rear of the property. Three pits dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, in addition to an undated pit, were observed. Good assemblages of post-medieval Brill production wares, as well as material of non-local production, were recovered from the three17th and 18th century features, comprising chamber pots, pancheons, bowls, a tankard and part of a tea-pot indicating a well-to-do household. |
