Abstract:		 A watching brief was conducted by John Moore Heritage Services during ground works for a swimming pool and pump house at Hendred House, East Hendred. The area of the garden located features associated with earlier garden layouts and at least one, possibly two, wells. The second area to the north of the first revealed the foundations of a post-medieval but otherwise undated building.
