Abstract: |
Level 2 building survey undertaken prior to demolition of a redundant industrial building on Reed's Lane. A rapid desk-based assessment undertaken prior to the survey indicated that the earliest phase of the building was constructed between the 1860s and 1900, and was used for leather working by J Taylor Scott who lived at the adjacent Halliley House. The building appeared to have been extended between 1900 and 1925, and was still in use as a leather works in the 1920s. The building survey confirmed that the standing building consists of two main construction phases. |
