The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Archaeological watching brief on the foundations for a house extension. The site lies close to the historic core of the town and within the area of the postulated Saxon burh known as 'Kingsbury'. Roman walled town lies approximately 300m to the south and a number of sites of Roman date have been recorded from the immediate vicinity. No evidence for archaeological features, deposits or artefacts was encountered. The stratigraphy in the trenches suggests that the site has been landscaped to create a level platform to construct the present house.
