Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring of topsoil stripping by Historic Environment Projects in advance of the construction of the Tremough Innovation Centre, Penryn, Cornwall, revealed a sub-rectangular post-built structure of post-Roman date. The site was notable for containing three types of ceramic wares: Bar Lug, Grass-Marked and a complete vessel of uncertain type deposited in an old posthole. These pottery forms are poorly dated and very unusual in stratified deposits. Dating of these ceramics will add important information to the study of post-Roman settlement in Cornwall. |
