Abstract: |
Archaeological Consultancy Ltd was commissioned by David Easterbrook to undertake historic building recording on works associated with the construction of a four bedroom bungalow. The historic building recording was required as a condition of planning permission for the proposed bungalow. The china clay dry chimney is designated as Grade II Listed (LBS 70952). Previous work has included a visit and description by Cornwall Archaeological Unit in 1990 as part of the China Clay Survey. The site is located at SX 02010 59920 (NGR). This fieldwork was undertaken on 25th-28th January 2011, it recorded: -Three principle phases incorporating a drying floor, furnaces, chimney and settling tanks dating to the first half of the 20th Century. |
