Abstract: |
There is a high potential for archaeological remains dating from the Prehistoric and/or Roman periods within the proposed development area. The potential for encountering remains of post-Roman date is low to medium. The Saxon pottery located on the north side of the development site (23) may be an isolated find, possibly the result of manuring activity; equally it may be associated with Saxon activity overlooking or within the proposal area. The potential for encountering remains of medieval date is negligible. |
