Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in the advance of the construction of a reservoir at Badlingham Manor Farm, Chippenham. This comprised of an initial fieldwalking survey followed by the excavation of eighteen trenches, representing 934m of trenching. A total of 46 pieces of struck flint were recovered during the fieldwalking, a mixed assemblage representing the movement of people through the landscape following the course of the River Kennett; however, no archaeological features were recorded within any of the trenches. |
