Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was conducted for Dove Jeffery Homes Ltd ahead of work to redevelop the site of the former Canary Public House at Watling Road, Norwich. A large ditch crossing the eastern side of the site represent the remains of an old medieval or post-medieval boundary, noted on several late post-medieval maps, while a pit filled with pottery on the far western side of the site may have originally been the remains of a Roman kiln. |
