Abstract:		 An evaluation trench excavated in advance of development on land to the rear of 'Amberley' at Hockland Road, Tydd St Giles, Cambridgeshire. The trench revealed no archaeological features although a sequence of alluvial deposits were observed. A partially ploughed out soil layer, possibly medieval in date was identified immediately below the topsoil.
