Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in June 2013 at Broadway Farm, Down Ampney, Gloucestershire. Three trenches were excavated. The evaluation revealed a pit within the south-east corner of the site which contained a sherd of medieval pottery dating to the 11th-13th centuries and a fragment of cow rib with a visible cutmark, indicating butchery. Across the northern part of site four shallow ditches and a more substantial one interpreted as a former field boundary were identified, all of which were undated. |
