The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A possibly late medieval curving ditch-like feature was observed on the site, which was certainly used in the post-medieval period. Its curving nature suggested a provisional interpretation as a former field boundary that appeared to have been abandoned before 1800. Small quantities of burnt flint and a sherd of medieval pottery in the dirty subsoil above the largely undisturbed brickearths suggested agricultural activity. This probably dated back to prehistoric times. Elsewhere on the site there was no evidence for activity before the 19th century. A subsequent watching brief traced the full extent of the ditch across the site, and determined that its fill dated to the post-medieval period. No other pre-19th century features were observed.
