Abstract:
A total area of c.10 ha. was sample excavated by fifty-two 50m x 1.8m trenches. The trenches revealed a small number of archaeological features and included the exploration of 'Blakeney Chapel' (Scheduled Ancient Monument No. 305) by trial trenching. Features included a Neolithic pit containing large quantities of pottery and flint that represents occupational evidence from the period c. 4000-3100 BC. [Au(abr)]
