Abstract:		 This report describes the results of an archaeological trial trench evaluation carried out by Pre-Construct Archaeology on land east of Cody Road, Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire (NGR TL 4992 6600) on the 27th July 2016. The archaeological work was commissioned by CgMs Consulting in response to a planning condition for archaeological work prior to the construction of 40 residential dwellings. The aim of the work was to characterise the archaeological potential of the proposed development area. The principal result of the evaluation was the discovery of two undated ditches, likely associated with post-medieval agricultural activity on the site.
