Abstract:		 Border Archaeology was instructed by E and J Solutions Ltd to undertake Archaeological Observation of geo-environmental engineering test-pits which were opened on part of the Shobdon Airfield site adjacent to Kingspan Insulation prior to the installation of a proposed Anaerobic Digester. All pits were excavated by machine to the required geo-environmental engineering depth. No structures or features relating to the airfield's use during the Second World War or to earlier periods were revealed, all pits being devoid of archaeological deposits.
