Abstract: |
This work was commissioned by AC Archaeology Ltd on behalf of clients. It has been prepared as part of a programme of work in support of a forthcoming planning application at the above site. The data collected suggests that the ground may have been subjected to considerable disturbance in the past which could have had an impact on the magnetic contrast required to identify magnetic anomalies that may indicate archaeological deposits or features. Two magnetic anomaly groups were identified as relating to possible archaeological deposits or features. One group lies along the north-eastern edge of a possible rectangular enclosure shown on an aerial photograph of 1999-2000. The other may relate to an archaeological deposit or structure but no further archaeological characterisation could be established. |
