Abstract: |
Nine trenches were excavated in the three fields, six of which contained archaeological remains. A high density of medieval features was recorded in the northern half of the eastern field. Consisting of ditches, pits and post holes, evidence for metalworking in the vicinity was also recovered. The central field was devoid of archaeological remains; the eastern field contained one ditch of probable medieval date, a pond and post-medieval foundation trenches. [Au(abr)] |
