Abstract:		 A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of geotechnical test pits at the site of a new community centre. Bronze age, iron age and Roman features had been excavated nearby. During the watching brief, a linear feature containing bronze age pottery and burnt flint was revealed, and a 19th century pit was found. It was suggested that trenches should be excavated between two of the test pits. [Au(adp)]
