Abstract: |
A watching brief durig the excavation of the route of a new access road identified a linear earthen bank which probably was part of the boundary of the medieval grange owned by Kirkstead Abbey. A wall, probably part of the formal gardens associated with the manor house that once occupied the site, and waste materials from an undated brick/tile kiln were also identified. [Au(abr)] |
