Abstract:		 As part of the compliance with Scheduled Monument Consent, prior to application for conservation works on a retaining/boundary wall against the north bank of Lincoln Castle, archaeological recording of trial pits excavated above and below the wall on the north bank of the castle was undertaken. No evidence in any of the trial holes of earlier activity nor of the medieval bank or ditch was revealed. [AIP]
