Abstract: |
<summary>Desk-based assessment was undertaken for an area affected by operations associated with the construction of a bridge abutment for the Second Severn Crossing. The area was found to contain features of a relict medieval/post-medieval agricultural landscape (including areas of ridge and furrow), as well as the Binn Wall, a sea-defence of imprecise date. Observation of a machine-excavated trial trench revealed a field boundary ditch and a backfilled Victorian field pond. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
